Talented author Hilda Petrie-Coutts announces she has just published six exciting new novels; Beware Hunters Moon, Mysterious Moonlight, Turbulent Journey, Dream Echo, The Storm Wraith and Dangerous Legacy to join the other existing twelve diverse books that include her Trilogy - The Centurion’s Servant, To The Ends of the Earth and Road to Rome, also Gauntlet of Fire, Storm on the Loch, Tears in the Dust, The Twisted Skein, Cinders of Time, The Last Concerto, Danger my Destiny, High Soars the Eagle and The Golden Pomander.
Hilda Petrie-Coutts has also written the lyrics and libretto for "Vincent-The Flame Burns Bright" a musical drama based on the life of Vincent Van Gogh, performed in 1999 by a full cast in the UK. The beautiful music was composed by her eldest son accomplished composer Wernher Pramschufer. A selection of the songs was later performed and accompanied by The Brisbane Philharmonic Orchestra. The actual making of the musical was filmed by Channel 4 and entitled "Roll over Lloyd Webber". Hilda has other books soon to be published and around a hundred exciting story poems—'Hilda’s Verses'.
Hilda was born in London, to a Scots father a pharmacist and an English mother who enjoyed ballet and classical dancing and was a fine pianist. When Hilda was aged five the family moved to Alton in Hampshire, where she later studied at Eggars Grammar School. Hilda moved to London where she worked for many years in the West End as a beauty consultant, then managed a French fashion salon for nine years and was later employed in timeshare in Scotland and Spain, eventually moving back to the country of her roots in 1983 and now lives happily in the Scottish Highlands surrounded by forests, mountains and lochs. Hilda also loves to paint on canvas and stone, her breathtaking miniature paintings of scenery on stone, have raised money for a medical charity in Africa.
Sales from her trilogy, The Centurion's Servant, To The Ends on the Earth and The Road to Rome are bequeathed to Medicine Sans Frontiers to help with all areas of their work.
